I have decided to move back to Duluth next weekend. Gary will be flying out here on Friday morning. At that time we will pick up the U Haul trailer we reserved, and pack it up with all of my things. Then we'll hit the road.
A few things need to happen before next Friday:
1) I'd LOVE to complete Step 1. I have one person coming to look at my place on Saturday. I know that she is looking at a different apartment that same day, so I am trying not to get my hopes up. I have had one other person come to see it and told me she was very excited about the place. She said things like, "This is the best I've seen! I'll be in touch!" ...I have not heard from her since. This is especially discouraging because I she has been prompt with her responses to my emails in the past, and now, not a word. I've sent her one email and left her one voicemail. In all honesty, it kind of feels like I'm caught in this needy relationship where I'm that desperate half that is about to get dumped by their "true love". I have to constantly refrain from emailing, texting, and calling these prospective sub-leasers every other hour of the day for the fear that I will drive them away with my desperation for information.Look how cute my apartment is! It's in a great location, at a great price... come on people!
Please pray I will be able to find someone to sign the sub-lease agreement before I leave. I can't imagine trying to find someone from Duluth.
2) I need to get my car ready. I purchased road-side-assistance for the year just in time for the trip. And today I took my car to Firestone to get my tires aligned (purchasing the lifetime alignment) and to get a hitch put on my car so I'll be able to hook up the trailer. After dropping off my car, I received a call saying that the hitch we bought won't fit in my car. Awesome. So, I called the place we bought the hitch at, and confirmed it is the right hitch for the right car. I will be taking my car to a different mechanic as soon as I am able to.

3) I need to pack and move my stuff into the basement. Since Gary will be flying overnight to arrive in Philadelphia bright and early Friday morning, I want to have my stuff in the easiest place to load into the trailer and into my car. That means I'll need to haul my things down three flights of narrow stairs, outside, around my building, and into the basement. This is the nearest place I can lock my stuff up that is near the street. I'll begin this process tomorrow. There are some boxes I'm concerned will be too heavy or bulky or awkward for me to move by myself, and I will have to figure out how to deal with those problem boxes as they arise.

Praying all goes well with moving + that a subleaser comes soon!
