Gary Gary Gary

Today started like any other morning. I woke up to my alarm at 6:15 am. Staggered into the bathroom. Forced myself to shower (because I'm never quite awaked enough in the mornings), dried and styled my hair, dressed nicely for work, and left the house by 7:30.

My future in-laws asked me to join them for lunch at Applebees, which is located directly accross Central Entrance from my work. It was nice to be included in a family affair. Gary's grandma and aunt were going to meet Gary's mother, sister and father for lunch, and I was going to join them.

At 11:30, I punched out for lunch, and proceeded to my car to go meet them for lunch. As soon as I got to my car, I realized I had forgotten my keys in my locker. Kind of important. Not a big deal, right? Little did I know, the entire family was watching me through the window, with Jade, Gary's little sister, giving them a play-by-play of my every move. "She's walking to her car. She's on her way. Wait, no. Now, she's walking back into the bank. I don't see her. Ok, now she's coming. She's at the light..." Why so interested by my every move? Good question.

You see, Jade was the informant for my fiance who was hiding in Applebees waiting to surprise me.

And surprise he did.

I sat at the corner booth with his parents, sister and grandma. Greeted everyone. Told them the day was going by slowly. Began looking at the menu to decide what to have. Someone put their hand on my shoulder and asked, "Do you mind if I join you?" And, I looked up into the most handsome face in the world. There stood my fiance. My jaw dropped. I covered my mouth. Unable to speak. Unable to move. Just staring at him in total disbelief.

He slid down next to me, and wrapped me in his arms. (dramatic sigh) It took a while before I was able to speak, and even then, Gary had to ask me to scoot over because I hadn't processed that he had about 6 inches of booth to sit on.

It was a complete surprise, and I'm so glad he pulled it off. I have missed him soooo much.

Now, if you excuse me, I would like to spend every second I can with him while he is here for Easter Weekend!

My guy is wonderful
